What to do if your login credentials are not working

When you navigate to The Gap Portal site, you will be directed to the URL https://portal.thegapportal.com/firm. Depending on your physical location, you will either be automatically routed to our EU (UK) or AU sites.

An issue may arise if you are accessing the portal outside your firm's region, which will result in a credentials error upon login. E.g.:
  1. Your firm is based in the UK but you are accessing the portal while in the Oceania/Asia regions, or
  2. Your firm is based in New Zealand but you are accessing the portal while in North America
 To rule out if a routing issue is at fault, please follow the steps below:
  1. Explicitly navigate to the correct portal site based on your firm's location:
    1. Oceania/Asia: https://au-portal.thegapportal.com/firm - Use this site if your firm is in the Oceania and Asia regions, including New Zealand, Australia, Papua New Guinea, and Pacific Islands
    2. Rest of the World: https://uk-portal.thegapportal.com/firm - Use this site if your firm is in all remaining regions (Europe, North America, South America, Africa, Antarctica) including the United Kingdom, South Africa and Canada
  2. After navigating to your region-specific site, ensure you enter your credentials correctly. If you need to reset your password, follow the steps available in this article.
