Setting business development targets
The
BD Targets area is where you set your firm's monthly
BD and
CCR targets and track monthly results.
Attention
You must have administrator rights to access the portal areas referenced in this article.
Note
The data inputted in this area populates the firm's
Dashboard and the
Dashboard >
Firm
Analytics page.
Important info
As you can only edit the
previous three months, we recommend setting up your
BD Targets at the
beginning of each financial year.
To start, go to
Navigation panel >
BD Targets.
This area contains a table with five columns, organised as follows:
- Month, containing 15 rows; one row for each month of your firm's planning
- BD Revenue Target, containing input fields for your revenue target for each month (for Business Development services only)
- BD Revenue Actual, containing input fields for your actual revenue for each month (for Business Development services only)
- CCR Target (#), containing input fields for your firm's target number of CCRs for each month
- CCRs Completed (#), containing input fields for the number of CCRs completed each month
Note
When you first save your firm's
BD Target data, the
first three rows (corresponding to the
past three months) will appear
greyed out; they can still be edited if necessary.
The Month column
- This includes the past three months, the current month, and the next 11 months
- The months automatically update as each month rolls over, e.g. Aug 2020 disappears in December 2020, with Nov 2021 appearing at the bottom of the column
- The months cannot be edited
Tip
It is possible to 'Tab' between columns from the left to the right, and then down to the next row.
BD Revenue
- BD Revenue Targets: this column contains input fields for the revenue targets established by your firm for each month
- BD Revenue Actual: this column pulls through data from accepted proposals - this can be edited to reflect any changes in revenue, if required
CCRs
- CCR Target (#): this column is where you input your firm's CCR monthly targets
- CCRs Completed (#): this column is where you input the number of CCRs completed; this needs to be updated manually
Note
Don't forget to click Save in the bottom right corner of the page after making any changes.
